Your information in Spring.

Last updated: November 5, 2026

This policy explains how Spring, an app by Alcyonite, handles your information on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.

Tasks, notes and files

Spring stores your tasks, your Notes page and anything you add to it, such as links, photos, PDFs and other files, on your device. It syncs them through your private CloudKit database in your Apple iCloud account. Alcyonite does not operate a server that receives or stores this content and cannot read your private iCloud database.

Sync depends on your iCloud account, connectivity and available storage. Changes stay on your device until they can sync.

Apple Intelligence

With Spring Plus, on a Mac, iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, Spring can read a day and a time from a task’s title, such as “Buy a charger tomorrow” or “Call Sam at 3pm”, and find tasks in text from Notes when you choose Find Tasks. Both use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Your titles and notes are not sent to Alcyonite or to any other AI service. The day and time it finds are saved with the task and sync like the rest of it. You can turn date reading off on each device in Spring’s Settings. Apple Watch doesn’t run this model.

Notifications

When a task has a time, a Mac, iPhone or iPad with reminders turned on schedules a notification on that device. When you start a focus, the device you started on schedules a notification for when it ends. These notifications, including the task title they show, stay on your device. Alcyonite does not send notifications from a server; iCloud may use silent system notifications to tell your devices that data changed.

Photos, files and sharing

Spring only reads photos and files you choose in the system pickers, or that you share to it. Shared items are added to Notes. A background image you choose stays on that device and is not synced. When you share from Spring, for example a Markdown copy of your day, the destination app’s policies apply.

Purchases

Spring Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and tells Spring on your device whether a subscription is active. Alcyonite doesn’t receive your payment details. If you start a free trial, Spring can schedule a reminder on that device before it ends.

Analytics and advertising

Spring has no advertising, no analytics or tracking code, and no account. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Apple may process service or diagnostic information under its own privacy policy and your device settings.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your content stays until you delete it. Deleting a task or clearing Notes removes it from your devices and your iCloud database once they sync. You can also manage Spring’s data in your device’s iCloud storage settings. Removing the app alone may leave its data in your iCloud account.
